Environmental sustainability

The environment belongs in the conversation.

Our environmental priorities for industrial purchasing: consider waste, packaging and resource use, and ask for product-specific evidence.

Industrial purchasing has an environmental dimension as well as a technical one. Our approach is to ask where waste can be avoided, which resources a product uses and what evidence supports an environmental claim. These are priorities for reviewing a request, not a record of impacts already achieved.

Three areas to consider

  1. Waste and packaging: can unnecessary packaging be avoided while protecting the material, and what reuse or recovery options exist at the destination?
  2. Resource use: what product-specific information is available about material content, energy and water use across its life cycle?
  3. Environmental evidence: who issued a footprint, recycled-content or other environmental declaration, and does it cover the actual product being considered?

Neprovia has not yet published verified emissions, waste-reduction or water-use figures. Environmental benefits must not be assumed from a product photograph, a label or a purchasing category.
